Eric James was born and raised a cheese head in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Grade School and went on to Wisconsin Lutheran High School. At age 17, he moved with his parents to Minneapolis, Minnesota. He took a job as a Disc Jockey at a local Roller Skating Rink.
Eric moved up the ranks on the local DJ scene to teen dance clubs, 18+ nightclubs and then on to radio. Eric was looked upon as the best nightclub DJ in the Midwest. His venues were the hottest clubs in the Twin Cities area including TNT, The Quest, Glam Slam, Tropix, Alleygators, and Stargate.
During this time, Eric obtained an associate degree for radio and television broadcasting and a certificate in public relations from the University of Minnesota.
In an effort to broaden his horizons, Eric took his act on the road. This venture started with a talent search, which landed him a DJ position with Disney/Premier Cruise Lines. He then moved on to Spring Break with MTV in Cancun, Mexico at La Boom nightclub. In Radio he appeared on WLOL in Minneapolis, Minnesota, WFLZ in Tampa Bay, Florida, B96 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, KMGZ in Lawton, Oklahoma, KCHK in Odessa and most recently WPYO in Orlando, Florida.
After touring nationwide and abroad, Eric returned to his home in Minneapolis to pursue his dream in television broadcasting. After spending time working as an extra on several films being made in the Twin Cities area and interning at an ABC affiliate television station, Today's Teen was born.
The idea for "Today's Teen: The Talk Show for Teens" was created by Eric himself. He approached producer David Relf, and they began to work on the project. It was decided that Eric, also the show's Executive Producer, with his already enormous following with young adults and experience in the entertainment industry, would be perfect as the host of the show.
Eric, a humanitarian, enjoys working with teens and helping them out in any way possible to achieve their goals in life and receive the recognition they deserve in this adult-based society.
